Krakow & Snails

I know - they're not really related at all . . . Krakow and snails! Snails first!! The local supermarket had snails on special, so - being so close to France - we thought we'd try them!! Guess the reactions!!
Last weekend I had to go to Krakow in Poland to do some work with one of the Steiger Elders there. It turned out to be a full-on weekend as there was also a Slot weekend on. Slot is a massive Arts festival in Poland in July, and there are local groups who also run local events. This weekend the theme was the Middle East and they had speakers, slideshows, bands and workshops on Azerbajani Backgammon (don't think I spellt that right!), Jewish Dancing, scrapbooking, fire dancing, juggling, unicycling, and heaps more. It was held in 3 different venues in the middle of the city. They had to turn people away, they had so much interest. I think about 250 people came!! Fire Show with about 8 fire dancers - it was awesome!
One of the venues (I think they're doing singing exercises)

It was a very busy weekend, but we got all our work done and I got to catch up with some of the Slot people I know. Thanks Steve & Lori!
