Steiger Camp

So we went away for the weekend with Jesus*Rockt - the Steiger church here. It was great! We only drove about 20 minutes and we were in a small village, where we stayed in a "Friends of Nature" House - basically a house in the forest with walks all around. It had been snowing before we arrived and on Friday and the next morning we awoke to even more snow!

It was awesome and we had great fun having big snowball fights, making humungous snowmen and sledding down the hill.

Christa (the violinist from No Longer Music) is staying in Karlsruhe and is our graphics designer. She bought her violin and the kids conned her into having a go! I have video footage but I thought I would spare you! (Altho' Anna did quite well!)
We had a great weekend - getting to know each other, having worship, devotions and playing games. It was a great weekend of "gemeindshaft" - community - and was in an awesome location!
They are a great group of people - as diverse as anything - and yet we have such an amazing sense of community! It was a great way to spend the weekend - with 30 other crazy people! Our kids are going to grow up with such a unique view on the world!!

Cool photos. Camping in the snow, who would have thought. The neat thing about putting kids in this environment is they just grow up thinking its normal aye.
