Post Christmas Freeze!!

Well, it has been a while since I posted anything!! Bad me! But here I am! It has been lovely to have the Jansens here for Christmas. We have fitted 8 people into our 2 bedroom apartment!! And actually we fitted in quite well! I don't know that we could have anymore tho'!!

We had a big Christmas dinner on the 24th (German tradition) at Steiger. And on Christmas morning we followed the kiwi tradition and opened our gifts (the Germans open theirs on the 24th).

The kids have spent the last few days playing with their Christmas presents, and spending the Christmas money (thanks Aunty M!) Sam - being the sporty type - got some ice skates for Christmas and has been trying them out!! Today we went down to the park and Sam had fun on the frozen lake. Check out the video. . .

So it is New Year's eve tomorrow and the plan is to have "Raklete" at Steiger (another German food tradition) and then we have a DJ and some Karaoke! Not sure if I will post any pictures of that! :-) And then there is always fireworks at midnight!

It is blimmin freezing!! Today around -6!!! But it is so dry that there is no snow or even very little frosts.
