Whew! What a month or two!

I opened up to check my blog and found I hadn't written anything for AAAAAGGGGGGEEESSSSS! Life here has been crazy!

My parents arrived in late October for 2 and a half weeks. It was nice to see them and to have them experience what it is like living like we do!! Mum wasn't too happy about the 6 flights of stairs she had to walk up!! I had offered to put a chair on each landing so she could have a rest!! But I thought it might be a bit dodgey having her sitting outside the brothel that is on the first floor!! Having said that - maybe she could've taken a cut!! :-)
Took Mum and Dad to one of the cool pet shops we have here - they have tarantulas (sp??), chipmonks, all kinds of lizards and snakes! A6 got to hold one and now we are regularly asked - "Mummy - can we have a snake?" The one she held was a python and we have to keep reminding her that pythons eat hamsters!!! :-)) Needless to say that S9 is not too keen!!

And then we have just finished a manic week of the Steiger elders and vision teams meeting here. So it was so much coordination and organising - to make sure 15 people were picked up from the airport at all times of the day and night, that their rooms were OK , that the venue was OK and that the food was OK. This was NOT helped by Violet the Van breaking down twice! The latest one was today on the way to the airport so poor Steve (one of our Elders) had to hitchhike to Stuttgart airport! I assume he made it cos I haven't hear anything!! Sorry Steve!

Well, hopefully life will return to a little more normality now! Bring on winter!! We had our first snowfall about a week or so ago! A bit early but lots of fun for the kids and Cristian - one of our Brazillian workers who has never seen snow before and couldn't stop throwing snowballs!!!!
